The other day I was watching this National Geographics documentary on Chinese Restaurant industry and how they process food. My 7 year old son was apparently watching the show in between his homework. I knew he didn't know (or had never thought about) about chicken and ducks that are killed for food. But when he saw it, he started asking me all sorts of questions. Well...without the gory details I explained to him that animals are killed for food all over the world.

The next day, he tells me he is not very hungry and refused to eat his favorite Chinese chicken wings. Cry

I don't blame him. I grew up watching animals being sacrificed in Dakschinkali and during Dashain at my own home. I personally never liked the idea.
